Youngsters Abayomi Philip and Emmanuel Jebutu will tonight depart the shores of Nigeria for Mozambique to participate in a Grade 5 ITF Junior Circuit.

Nigeria Tennis Live can authoritatively report that the players who gave a good account of themselves at the Lagos Open International Tennis Championship will be in their way out of the country for the competition on Saturday night.

Jebutu was a constant thorn in the flesh of his opponents at the matches he played in, and seems to have come of age with his performances.

In a chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, the youngster believes that his experience over the past few weeks in playing Junior ITF circuits aided his performance, and he is assured of better displays in the coming weeks.

Philip ranked 598 in the world, on the other hand, has been fantastic in the junior competitions he has played in since the turn of the year.

He was an unprecedented winner in Ghana, and played till the final of the Togo ITF competition before moving to Benin Republic.

Together, both players represent a crop of new generation of Nigerian youngsters who have taken the country’s tennis by storm.

Nigeria Tennis Live will be monitoring their activities in the coming days and report updates to our teeming followers scattered across the globe.
