Seun Ogunsakin was a run-away winner during the two-legged J30 Abuja event which was concluded over the weekend, but he’s not resting on his oars.

The Tunisia-based Nigerian youngster is already looking forward to playing even more difficult tournaments that will help improve his game and make him even better.

In a brief chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, the Aurum Tennis Academy teenage tennis sensation noted that after the J30 event in Abuja, he’s not sure of playing any tournament lesser than a J60 or J100.

According to the former number one African U-14 player, plans are currently in place for him to play some of these tournaments as he has already registered to play them.

“There are two J100 events here in Tunisia and I’ve entered two of them, I’m also playing a J60 event some time around April.

“I’ve already registered to play three tournaments now,” Ogunsakin said.

“I’m really looking forward to playing bigger tournaments because I’m not playing J30 anymore. And even if I’ll have to play, it will be because there are no tournaments and I don’t want to stay idle without competing.

“However, if there are tournaments like J300, J200, and even J500, I’ll go there to play from the preliminary stage.

“I’ll play bigger tournaments this year,” the Ekiti-born youngster added.

Checks by Nigeria Tennis Live on the ITF Website reveal that there are three weeks of J100 and J60 events in Tunisia from 16 April to 5 May, 2024.

As at the time of writing this report, there were no information about the players who would be participating in the competition as the withdrawal and registration dates were still far away.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep tabs on the youngster and keep our readers and followers up to date with his activities as they unfold.
