Africa Beach Tennis: Team Nigeria To Play First Match On Friday
Nigerian tennis representative to the ongoing Africa Beach Games will be playing their first match on Friday, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.
The players who had a stopover in Dakar, Senegal before landing in Cape Verde, will be participating in the competition for the very first time.
Representing the country to compete for honors are Christie Agugbom and Blessing Samuel, two experienced players who have a minimum of ten national titles between them.
The team’s coach, Abdulmumin Babalola, who led the girls to Cape Verde, informed our correspondent via a brief chat, that they players were yet to know their first opponent in the tournament as the draw had not been made as at the time of discussion.
He stated, however, that: “The girls are good to go.”
The draws for the competition are expected to be made unfailingly by Thursday so that they the players can be prepared ahead of the competition’s opener on Friday.
The first match starts by 8:30am while the second match kicks off by 1:30pm.
