The youngsters who participated in the recently concluded SNEPCo Junior Tennis Championship were full of surprise at the unprecedented appearance of the Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, during the tournament.
The minister, Nigerian Tennis Live gathered, visited the National Stadium, Surulere venue of the tournament in the middle of the quarterfinal matches saw the dumbfounded players scrambling to join Dalung in a photo-up which was followed by a mini rally with one of the young players.

After the photo session, the cap-wearing minister advised the youngsters to keep believing in themselves and be the best they can be.
“You should take every opportunity to develop your skills to be the best you can be. You need self belief, hard work, discipline, respect for your opponents, coaches and elders to succeed,” Dalung said.
Nigerian Tennis Live will publish the results from the final phase of the championship later in the day, as our correspondent could not ascertain the final outcome of matches as at the time of filing this report.
