Rainoil Tennis: Imeh Clashes With Shehu Lawal As Christian Launches Babalola ‘Attack’
Nigeria’s number one male tennis player, Joseph Imeh, will on Wednesday, 14 November, take on former national champion, Shehu Lawal, in one of the second round matches at the ongoing Rainoil Open Tennis Championship.
Imeh, who is yet to win a national tournament since he became Nigeria’s number star, has been in blistering form since the commencement of the competition, and will seek to continue his fine form against a rejuvenated Lawal.

With each win, the Davis Cup player edges closer to winning his first major title, therefore, all eyes will be on him to deliver when it matters the most.
In another big match of the day, Christian Paul will come up against the ageless Abdulmumin Babalola in a clash that pitches the Davis Cup captain against his teammate.
Although Paul has not been quite convincing all season, he may fancy his chances against Babalola whose retirement is not in sight, as he keeps turning heads with surreal performances when they dub him old.
The matches which are scheduled to start at about 9am at the Ikoyi Club 1938, venue of the championship, will be closely monitored by our correspondent.
Nigerian Tennis Live will bring you all the important updates from the second edition of the national tournament as they unfold.
