Oyinlomo Quadre has continued her fine form at the ongoing ITF Grade 3 Junior Circuit in Tunisia with a very impressive win against one of the tournament’s favourites.

The youngster who has recently hit top form, wowed the audience in Megrine, Tunisia, with her superlative performance against Alina Shcherbinina, the Russian number five seed, from a losing position.

Alina who by now, already heard about the exploits of the Nigerian teenage sensation, capitalised on some unforced errors by the youngster to take the first set at 6-4. But Quadre would have the last laugh in the encounter with a refined performance of her own too.

Nigeria Tennis Live can report that not only did the Morocco-based Quadre win the second set, she thumped her Russian opponent in the final to leave no further doubts about her ability and superiority on the court.

But the victory song cannot be sung yet, as the Nigerian tennis prodigy has Russia’s Maria Bondarenko (the number six seed who crushed the number one seed) to emerge as the eventual winner of the competition’s Single event.

Nigeria Tennis Live will continue with the reports about the player’s performance in Tunisia, and report the final outcome of their encounter as soon as it is made available.
