Rainoil Open Tennis: Defending Champion Imeh Faces Dangerous Timibra As He Guns For Semis Ticket

Tournament’s number two seed, Joseph Imeh, will be wary of banana peels in Timibra Godsgift as they clash in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Rainoil Tennis Open Championship in Lagos.

Godsgift was a major thorn in the flesh of former national champion and former Nigerian number one, Clifford Enosoregbe, and deservedly won their second round clash.

The Nigerian junior now faces an uphill task against Imeh, who’s yet to drop a set in this tournament since it kicked off on Monday, 2 December.

In Friday’s quarterfinal match, the Nigerian number two player and defending champion of the clay court competition, will have to be at his very best to see off the determined youngster.

Sylvester Emmanuel, the number one seed of the competition, is also on a roller coaster ride in the tournament and will fancy his chances when he comes up against Lawal Peter later today.

The other early match of the day is between Thomas Otu and Emmanuel Idoko while Michael Chima versus Sylvester Ajang is the last quarterfinal match of the day.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep an eye on the players to get the some of them to speak about the competition on clay, a situation which most of them are not used to.
