Prosperity Ikenna Okonkwo is one win away from reaching the final of the J60 Accra junior ITF event currently taking place in Ghana.
The Abuja-based youngster who won the second leg of the junior ITF event in Ghana (J30 Accra), reached the semis of the J60 after defeating Nigerian compatriot, Lucky Danjuma.

Danjuma who has had a phenomenal week could not capitalize against his Nigerian counterpart to reach the semis of the event for the second consecutive week as he capitulated to a 2-6, 2-6 loss on Thursday.
Okonkwo will now face off against Francky Hoimian from Ivory Coast, to secure his spot in the final of a J60 event for the first time ever.
Hoimian, the tournament’s number one seed, fell short in the previous week against Nigeria’s Danjuma, and will now be wary of Okonkwo who has been in a really good form this week.
Daniel Adeleye, the number two seed, continued his run in his second week in Ghana, with a final set defeat of Gurbaaz Narang from India.

Adeleye won 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-2 to set up a semifinal clash against another Indian player, Vraj Gohil, the tournament’s number four seed. A win for Adeleye will present a back-to-back J60 final appearance for the Nigerian Davis Cup player.
