Nigeria’s Amasiani Qualifies For ITF/CAT Junior Masters

Chukwudubem Amasiani has qualified to participate in the African Junior Masters meant for players in the U-14 category, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.

The 13-year-old who has been outstanding all year, participated at the ITF/CAT Championship in Morocco which was held last week but could not perform optimally.

However, he did enough to have qualified Nigeria to be among the nations playing in the Junior Masters event in Morocco which starts on Wednesday, 18 September, 2024.

The top eight nations in Africa qualify to play the tournament and Amasiani, ranked sixth in Africa and number one in West Africa, automatically gets a slot at the tournament.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that he will be playing his first match against Fahim Amine from Morocco in his first match at the tournament which is featuring the best U-14s from Africa.

The talented Nigerian player will be the cynosure of all eyes after his recent performances on the CAT/ITF tennis circuits which has seen him cop several titles.

Like Seun Ogunsakin, Amasiani will be hoping to top the log of the top African U-14 players at the end of the tennis season and possibly get an invite to participate in Junior Grand Slam events.
