    Adewale Isa Tennis: Organizers Set Registration Deadline As 9 States Indicate Interest

    Nigeria Tennis Live can reliably report that the organizers of the annual Adewale Isa Foundation Tennis Championship have set a registration deadline.

    The AIF Tennis tournament is regarded as one of the biggest national competitions and is being played by players from across Nigeria since its inception.

    And as the build up to this year’s episode of the competition continues, our correspondent gathered that the organizers have now set a deadline for players from different States of Nigeria to indicate their interest.

    According to Bitrus Danjuma, the Tournament Director of the event, the deadline for registration has been fixed at 10 August, 2024, just a few days to the commencement of the championship in Lagos.

    He told Nigeria Tennis Live that: “Registration is actually ongoing at the moment, but we are looking at 10th of August as the deadline for the registration of interested players.”

    The Adewale Isa Foundation tennis tournament is being played by players from different States across Nigeria and is always being anticipated by youngsters.

    When asked how many States had indicated interests and registered, Mr. Danjuma said: “We have Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, Bayelsa, Abuja, Niger, Cross River, Ogun and Nasarawa who have registered so far.

    “More States are expected.”

    As things stand and with the deadline for the registration getting even closer, interested players and coaches are advised to contact their States’ tennis association on how best to go about the registration for the annual competition.

    The Adewale Isa Foundation Memorial Tennis Championship will be holding inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, from 13-17 August, 2024 for players in U-12, 14, and 16 categories.

    Nigeria Tennis Live will be on ground to provide adequate coverage for the annual championship which has also produced national and international champions.
