Just In: Nigeria’s Seun Ogunsakin Reaches 6th Junior ITF Final In 2024

Seun Ogunsakin has reached his second consecutive J60 event final after defeating Jintao Lan, his Chinese opponent, in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The Nigerian teenage sensation started the second half of the year just the way he ended the first where he won five of the five finals he played in.

Seeded four at the fully-loaded J60 Harare tournament in the South African country, the Nigerian youngster fought assiduously to maintain his 100% record at the tournament.

And in his sixth attempt, Ogunsakin has now reached his sixth consecutive finals at Junior ITF tournaments in 2024 after beating Lan 6-1, 7-5.

Winning the competition which runs from 22-27 July, 2024 will all but shoot the talented tennis player upwards on the world junior tennis ranking.

He is also expected to participate at the J100 Harare event in Zimbabwe alongside Davis Cup player, Daniel Adeleye, who recently helped Nigeria secure promotion to World Group II of the competition.

The final of the event is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 27 July, 2024, inside the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe.
