2nd Azimuth Junior Tennis Tourney Sets National Stadium ‘On Fire’ As The Big Boys Take Centre Stage (Photos)
The ‘big boys’ took the court on Wednesday, 23 January, and the stadium was lit.
The 2nd Azimuth Shipping Lines Junior Tennis Championship is gathering steam inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos with the U-16 boys and girls dazzling with their exceptional performances.
Nigeria Tennis Live reports that the tournament which kicked off on Monday with the U-12 boys and girls, was quickly followed by the U-14s on Tuesday.
But when it was time for the U-16s to kick off their first round of matches on Wednesday, 23 January, all hell was let loose, as the players put up amazing shows to the satisfaction of spectators who were at the venue to watch top junior tennis action.
The players shone in their different tennis kits and played like mature tennis stars already as they gradually set the tone to move forward in their tennis endeavours.
From the Ekiti to the Oyo and Lagos-based players, there was no stopping the energy that the boys and girls oozed, as they were already aware of the amazing rewards at the end of their hard work.
The tournament is presently in the quarter final stage as it nears its business end, where the main contenders will be separated from the pretenders.
