Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the sponsor of the Ikyaator tennis competition did not add the Doubles to the event initially, but when the players indicated their interest to play, the monies were quickly released to ensure the doubles event was held.

The sponsors of the competition also continued with their sponsorship of junior tennis tournament, a closed event for kids across different parts of Benue State, which took place simultaneously as the seniors.
Goodluck Tersoo and Ivana Abu, two players who have distinguished themselves nationally, emerged champions of the event in their respective categories, taking home the winners’ trophies and the N100,000 scholarship prize for the winners.
