Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that some of the biggest tennis coaches from across different parts of the world will be in Abuja for the PTR-accredited event.

The organizers informed that participation in the conference costs $350 for non-PTR members while registered PTR members are required to pay $320.

They noted, however, that “registration for the event costs $50 but there’s a $20 discount for early birds. Those who are able to register before 16th February can pay $30 but anything afterwards is $50”.

According to the organizers of the event, registration for the Certification Course costs $400 (or its equivalent in naira), however, there is a discount for participants who are able to register before the deadline.

Carl Mae is one of the coaches confirmed for the African Coaches’ Conference holding in Nigeria’s Federal Capital.

“The Certification Course costs $400 but we gave an initial discount of $100 to participants, and asked them to pay $300 instead. However, this grace period has expired but we have a fresh discount package for prospective participants.

“Participants who are able to register on or before 31 January, 2026 will pay $350, enjoying a discount of $50 in the process,” US-based Coach Abel Ubiebi, convener of the event, informed our correspondent.

The highly-revered former Lagos-based coach also stressed the importance of the conference for the tennis coaches and stakeholders expected to participate.

He stated that “hosting this event in Nigeria has a lot of benefits for the participants. First coaches will save the cost of traveling abroad, high fee for accommodation, stress of seeking visa for trips, among others.

“For those of us who are familiar with these kind of trips, we know how expensive they can be and they don’t cost less than about $2.5K, that’s why attending such a high level conference in Nigeria saves the coaches a lot of money”.
