Prior to the start of the tournament, Yakubu had taken two titles in Accra Ghana, raising her rankings on the junior ITF ratings, but she had done enough at the end of the two legs in Lagos to rise to the peak of the junior ITF rankings for the Nigerian female players.
Currently ranked 499, Yakubu is close to reaching her career high junior ITF rankings of 394 which she attained in the early stages of 2025.

Success Ogunjobi (ranked 514) slipped to number two on the rankings while Nigeria’s number one female tennis player, Khadijat Mohammed (1049), stands in third position.
