The sixth edition of the annual Adewale Isa Foundation National Junior Tennis Championship concluded on Saturday, 30 August 2025, marking yet another milestone in promoting grassroots tennis in Nigeria.
While the event is traditionally funded by the family, this year’s edition received much-needed support from generous friends and well-wishers.
In an official statement made available to Nigeria Tennis Live and signed by the Chairperson, Alhaja Sikirat Adigun, the Adewale Isa Foundation (AIF) expressed deep appreciation to those who helped make this year’s tournament a resounding success.

“On behalf of the Adewale Isa Foundation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the sixth edition of our annual Junior Tennis Tournament a resounding success.”
“Over the years, this event has largely been driven by the love and commitment of our family, with occasional support from friends and well-wishers. However, this year was particularly special, as colleagues and close associates stepped in with generous financial contributions, helping us deliver an even more impactful tournament. For this, we are truly grateful.”

AIF also special recognizes Mrs. Avari Garcia, a consistent supporter of the championship. For the third consecutive year, she sponsored the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award.
“This year, she took her commitment further by organizing a fundraising initiative through her group, Sisters on the Court, which collectively donated $1,000 toward the tournament.
“Their kindness has ensured that we continue to recognize and reward outstanding talent with meaningful prizes,” the statement added.
