The sponsors of the DavNotch National Tennis Open Championship have revealed plans to surprise Nigerian tennis players with ‘something ‘hooge’.
The sponsors made this known to the players during a press conference to intimate members of the press and the public about the latest developments from the competition.
Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju, the president of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), noted, during the press conference, that the prize monies indicated on the factsheet would be adjusted once they start receiving their ‘alerts’.

He noted that this was part of the sponsors’ plans to celebrate the fifth year of the consistent sponsorship of the competition.
“The sponsor, being a tennis crazy person himself, is also working on ensuring that the prize money that the players saw on the factsheet will be improved on when they start getting the alert.

“While I am unable to state specifically what the amount is, the sponsor has assured that the players will get a lot more than what was stated on his factsheet,” Engr. Akindoju said.
When quizzed further to state how much winners would be getting with the improved prize monies, the NTF President revealed that negotiations were still ongoing.
