No fewer than 200 youngsters are expected to participate in the fast approaching Tswako Foundation Junior Tennis Clinic/Tournament in Abuja.
Nigeria Tennis Live reports that the Tswako Foundation, headed by former junior international. Sadiq Tswako, will be holding a three-day event for youngsters in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital from Thursday, 26 – Saturday 28 June, 2025.
This event is apart from the annual tennis tournament the Foundation holds for kids in Abuja, especially those at the Abuja Country Club, Life Camp.

About 150 youngsters had indicated their interest in the tennis clinic, tournament scheduled for players in the U-10, 12, 14 & 16 categories prior to the opening day of the event, and feelers are that there will be more onsite registrations.
Not only will there be Nigerian coaches to help guide the next generation of tennis stars from Nigeria, the Foundation also flew in coaches from the United States to aid the training and tournament.
Coaches Sunday Samuel, Henry, Isiaka Oshioke, are among the top Nigerian coaches who will be on hand to assist with the training and competition which promises to be as competitive.

Sadiq Tswako, founder of the Foundation, informed that there will be lots of prizes for the kids who participate in the tennis clinic/tournament.
“We got a lot of items from our friends who support what we do. We have rackets, shoes, tennis kits, clothes for the players, and we will be giving them out at the end of this competition,” he began during a brief chat with Nigeria Tennis Live.
“We are very happy to do this for the kids, starting with those here in Abuja. We are also extending this to other parts of the country. We already planned a tournament for Niger State, and we intend to give out items to players from the Lagos end as well.
“At the end of the day, we are looking at a situation where we can cater to as many kids as possible from every part of the country, and this is our end goal. To reach every part of the nation,” he added.
Activities are expected to serve off by 10am inside the tennis section of the National Stadium in Abuja, venue of the event, on Thursday, 26 June, 2025.
