Wheelchair tennis players will be playing their national tournaments in Lagos, Nigeria Tennis Live can confirm.

This was confirmed by Shammah Makpa, the Secretary General of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) in a document which was made available to our correspondent.

The competitions which were holding in Lagos had been moved to Abuja for a while now. However, in a recent document, Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the national wheelchair tennis tournaments will be held in Lagos, in August.

Like the other national tournaments, the wheelchair tennis events will be held across three weeks, albeit on different dates.

The VEMP Open serves off what will be an intense three weeks for the wheelchair tennis players in Lagos from 11-13 August, and will be followed almost immediately by the DavNotch championship from 15-18 August.

And after not being held for a few years, the CBN Open will be wrapping up the three weeks of wheelchair tennis action in Lagos from 20-23 August, 2025.
