Lucky Danjuma ensured he won both Boys’ Singles titles across the two legs of the J30 Abuja event held in Nigeria’s Federal Capital.
The Abuja-based teenager has been a revelation on the Nigerian tennis scene in a past few weeks and capped off a fine outing with both titles available for grabs.

Danjuma, the tournament’s number two seed, defeated Oriol Alvarez Velis, a talented Spanish youngster, in two straight sets to emerge as the undisputed champion of the competition.
He took the first set 6-0 before going all the way with a 6-4 win in the second despite his opponent finding some motivation during the second set.

The win means that 18-year-old Danjuma has now won four Junior ITF Titles in 2025, after also winning two legs of J30 Accra events in Ghana a few months ago.

In the female category, Success Ogunjobi ensured that her tough opponent stood no chance en route to her second consecutive J30 Abuja title win.
Ogunjobi beat Luise Luczak 6-3, 7-5 in a keenly contested match which brought the spectators inside the tennis section of the National Stadium, Abuja, to their feet.

The Ekiti-born tennis sensation has now won three Junior ITF titles, all of which have come in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital, in 2025.
The 17-year-old is now edging closer to becoming the highest-ranked female Nigerian tennis player on the junior ITF rankings.
