Players from different parts of the globe are currently in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital, for the World Junior Tennis Tour event.

Nigeria is hosting two weeks of junior ITF competition in the federal capital, with a lot of junior players in attendance from Nigeria and other countries.

This event is the second two weeks of the series of ITF events organized by the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), having initially hosted two weeks early this year.

And a quick peep into the draws and players participating in the event which serves off on Tuesday, 3 June, 2025, showed that a sizeable number of the participants are from different countries scattered across the globe.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that players from Spain, France, Egypt, Pakistan, Korean, India, Thailand, among others, are on the male and female draws for the tournament which is drawing attention among Nigerian tennis enthusiasts.

Quite a number of Nigerian players are also in the Main Draw, with Ohunene Yakubu and Lucky Danjuma leading the pack.

Danjuma will be seeking to make it a third consecutive junior ITF title after winning back-to-back events in Ghana which shot him into the top 500 players in world junior tennis.

Other youngsters like Khadijat Mohammed, Goodnews Aina, Gloria Samuel, Chukwudubem Amasiani, Heman Afaramai, are also expected to shine at the competition for points and rankings.
