The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has announced the dates and venue for the Africa Billie Jean King Cup Group III Qualifiers.
Nigeria narrowly missed out on qualification for the Europe/Africa Group III when they lost to South Africa during the last event in Kenya.
The Nigerian ladies will now stand a chance to fight for their slot among the elite tennis teams across the globe when they take on their opponents in the newly-announced event.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that Namibia will be hosting the event which will commence on the week of 4 August, 2025 in the city of Windheok.

12 nations that will be participating in the week-long event including: Algeria, Botswana, Burundi, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Of all the participating countries, only Morocco is ahead of Nigeria on the world rankings of national teams at the Billie Jean King Cup event, and the West African ladies will fancy their chances against their opponents.
As at the time of filing this report, our correspondent could not ascertain how many teams will be promoted from the Group III of the event.
