Coaches in attendance at the recently-held PTR Certification Course in Abeokuta, Ogun State have given varying feedbacks after the event.
The event which was held from 4-7 March, 2025, inside the Abeokuta Sports Club, Abeokuta, had coaches from different parts of the world in attendance, including some active tennis players.
After the tournament, the coaches shared their thoughts on the trainings and the quality of what they got from the PTR Coach Developer, Abel Ubiebi.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the event was so successful that the coach who attended from Liberia is already planning to host their version in their country.
According to Coach Ubiebi, “People came from as far as Port-Harcourt, Abuja, Lagos, Ghana, Liberia, UK, among other places.
“The guy from Liberia is planning to be hosting the PTR in his country from this year. The guy from PH also plan to host one in Sept of which the preparation is in top gear now”.
Also speaking about the training, one of the coaches said: “We were really impressed with the comprehensive teaching, the method at which the coach developer Abel Ubiebi, delivered the training.

“We discussed also on how to grow in the tennis teaching business, they had a lots of training fun with the cardio tennis drills.
One of Nigeria’s top players, Nonso Madueke, was also among the coaches who took part in the training and he was said to have been surprised and impressed with what he learnt.
Coach Ubiebi stated further that “their participation will show better progress in all ramifications, even Nonso was impressed with how we analyzed his strokes. They were so cool on how to detect and correct error technically”.
As things stand, preparations are already underway for the second edition this year to hold in Port Harcourt, towards the end of the year, as our gathered.
