Success Ogunjobi and Etoro Bassey will play a repeat of their Rainoil National Open Quarterfinal match at the J30 Abuja Girls’ Singles final on Saturday.
The pair played out an entertaining match on the centre court of the Ikoyi Club a few weeks ago which Bassey won emphatically after being down against the Abuja-based youngster.
In a rather interesting turn of events, Ogunjobi has the opportunity to get one over her opponent when they play against each other at the Girls’ Singles final of the J30 Abuja tournament.

Coincidentally, Bassey is the tournament’s number one seed while her opponent is the number two seed and spectators will be hoping to see the best of both youngsters.

While Ogunjobi is yet to drop a single set in the competition, her counterpart had to come back from a set down and 0-4 to win her quarterfinal match against Goodnews Aina at the event.
In the Boys’ Singles final, Franklin Jimoh, the tournament’s top seed, will have Yahaya Sani Inabo to face on Saturday, 22 February, 2025.
Jimoh, heavily tipped to win the competition, will be up against a player who is desperate to finally step onto the big stage of junior tennis after having a stop-start development over the years.
