The proposed Rainoil Senior Tennis Championship initially scheduled for 9-15 December, 2024 has now been postponed.
Nigeria Tennis Live gathered on Thursday morning, that the organizers of the event informed the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) of their desire to postpone the date for the competition which many Nigerian tennis players had been looking forward to.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, the tournament is now rescheduled for January, 2025.

Mr. Makpa Shamma, the NTF Secretary shared a correspondence from the organizers with Nigeria Tennis Live which reads:
“We wish to confirm that the dates for the Rainoil Tennis Tournament have been rescheduled.
“The tournament, initially planned for December 9–15, 2024, will now take place from January 27 to February 2, 2025.
“Kindly update your records and communicate this change to all relevant stakeholders.

“Thank you for your understanding and continued support”.
It was also gathered that the venue for the new date may have also be moved from Ikoyi Club to Lagos Country Club, Ikeja.
