More than 100 (one hundred) private school students are expected at the second edition of the HST Academy Inter-School Tennis Championship.

The one-day event which holds on Friday, 22 November, 2024 inside the tennis section of the Italian International School, Lekki, Lagos, is fast becoming a fans’ favourite with parents and their kids.

At the first edition held in November, 2023, a number of players from different schools across Lagos State showed interest and participated in HST Academy event which was as competitive as it was entertaining.

Coach Benson Ishicheli, who is also among the organizers, told Nigeria Tennis Live that the event is scheduled for 9am, and they are expecting the kids to turn up in their numbers.

“I can assure you that our plan to start the event by 9am will not change, because we are expecting quite a number of kids and we don’t want to tire them easily by keeping them waiting for longer than necessary. We hope to have an eventful championship.

“A very big thank you to some of our sponsors whom we shall extensively appreciate during the competition,” he noted.

Participants who are interested will also have the chance of participating in other sports like football and swimming as originally stated by the organizers.

Nigeria Tennis Live is the official media partner for the competition, and will be sharing all the updates from the tournament which has produced national junior champions.
