Khadijat Mohammed will be playing in her second consecutive final at the Dala Hard Court Tennis Championship, Nigeria Tennis Live can report.
The Abuja-based teenage sensation defeated Bamidele Omolayo in an interesting semifinal match on Thursday which ended 6-1, 6-3, to match her record from last year.
She will now play against Mary Udoffa who reached her first senior national final after defeating Success Ogunjobi in two straight sets of 6-3, 6-4.

The Women’s Singles final will be contested by two players who rose through the ranks and have been competitive on the Nigerian tennis circuit for a while now.
Meanwhile, Ikechukwu Iloputa was at his pristine best when he played against the defending champion, Henry Atseye, in the quarterfinal match on Thursday, 21 November, 2024.

Iloputa came out tops in the final set duel which ended 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 and will now take on in-form Canice Abua, who defeated Yahaya Sani Inabo 6-4, 6-4 to reach the semifinal.

The second semifinal match will be a very keen contest between two Davis Cup players, Michael Emmanuel, aka Akpan, and Uche Oparaoji, aka Lefty.
While Oparaoji defeated a spirited Musa Muhammed in a thrilling final set match that ended 6-4, 6-7(1), 7-6 (6), Akpan outlasted former Nigerian number one player, Thomas Otu, in straight sets of 6-1, 6-3.
Akpan will also partner Matthew Abamu to play the Men’s Doubles final against the energetic pair of Daniel Adeleye and Yusuf Abubakar.
