Nigeria’s Adesuwa Osabuohien has landed in the final of the Kikuxi Tennis Open in Angola after winning her semifinal match without breaking a sweat.

The week-long $2,000 tournament has been a rollercoaster for the Nigerian Billie Jean King Cup captain, as she proved just why she’s one of Nigeria’s best female players.

And in her semifinal match on Saturday afternoon, the US-based Nigerian tennis star got the better of Ghana’s Yvonne Tagoe in two straight sets, winning 6-1, 6-2.

The winner of the Women’s Singles event will go home with the ultimate prize money of $2,000 despite the fact that it is an all-expense paid tournament for the players.

About 50 players from 12 countries participated in the tournament which served off on Monday, 19 August, 2024 at the Kikuxi Villas Club Tennis Academy in Luanda, Angola.
