Nigeria’s Ohunene Yakubu is on the acceptance list ahead of a J100 event in Germany, Nigeria Tennis Live can authoritatively report.

The teenage tennis sensation has been one of Nigeria’s most consistent junior players, reaching a career high ranking of 428 to place her as the highest-ranked Nigerian female player on the junior ITF ranking.

After winning both legs of the J30 and J60 events in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, the 16-year-old is looking forward to a more challenging event and has consequently registered to play at the J100 Neunkirchen.

However, her foray into the J100 event will be quite different this time around, as she has been on a good run of form in her recent tournaments, where she has been made to win against tough opponents.

As at the time of putting this report together, the draws for the tournament had yet to be made, but the Nigerian tennis youngster’s name was visibly sighted on the acceptance list of the event.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep tabs on the player and her activities in Europe, as she takes a step further to continue her tennis dominance, and report her progress to our teeming readers scattered across the globe.
