Seyi Ogunsakin will be playing against Yulin Li, a Chinese player in his first ever appearance at a Junior ITF event on Thursday, 6 June, 2024.

The younger of the Ogunsakin brothers is in the Main Draw of a Junior ITF for the first time ever, following in the footsteps of his elder brother who is now Nigeria’s second highest-ranked junior player on the ITF.

He will get his baptism of fire against the Chinese player when they take to the courts for their R16 match to move to the quarterfinal of the competition.

Another blockbuster encounter on the day is the tie between Khadijat Mohammed and Etoro Bassey, two of Nigeria’s brightest young female players.

In the reverse fixture a few months ago, Mohammed came out tops on her way to winning the title against pre-event favourite, Ohunene Yakubu.
