Ohunene Yakubu has hit her highest ever ranking on the Junior ITF Rankings, Nigeria Tennis Live can authoritatively report.
The Tunisia-based tennis sensation was a semifinalist at the recent J60 event in Tunisia, where she was only ousted by eventual winner of the event.

Prior to that tournament, the younger of the talented Yakubu sisters had her highest ever ranking sitting at 586, a feat she attained in February, 2024.
However, Nigeria Tennis Live recent checks on the ITF website show that the 16-year-old youngster is now ranked 574 in the world, reaching her highest placing ever on the ITF rankings.
The player will now look forward to rising further on the rankings as she competes in another J30 tournament in Tunisia where she is currently based.
Also moving upwards on the rankings is her male counterpart, Seun Ogunsakin, who reached the quarterfinals of the J60 event in Tunisia.

The new rankings by the ITF pushed him up by 23 spots to now rank him 611 in the world. The former African U-14 no. 1 player is also playing the J30 event in Tunisia this week.
