Peter Lawal, one of Nigeria’s players who represented the country at the 2023 Davis Cup, has left the country for Europe, Nigeria Tennis Live has gathered.

Our correspondent gathered that the Abuja-based Nigerian number four tennis player has been in Austria, where he has been on vacation for a while.

In a chat with Nigeria Tennis Live, Lawal mentioned that he will be in Europe for a while and will be playing some tennis while he’s there.

“I will be here for a while, actually. I’ve been around for a while but I’ve just been chilling and relaxing first,” he said.

“I’ll be practicing a lot here and will be playing their tennis league here as I am also trying to chill for a bit.

“And just so you know, I am not staying permanently in Austria, I will be going elsewhere, but I am keeping that from the public for now.

“When the time comes, I’ll share all the details with you. But for now, I’ll be in Austria, in Europe to be precise,” Lawal explained further.

From all indications, the Nigerian player is not likely to return to the country anytime soon, as he looks to have set his sights on joining the league of players relocating abroad.

Nigeria Tennis Live will keep tabs on the players and other Nigerian players, and share details of their activities with our followers.
