The 17-year-old youngster played with Japan’s Rina Saigo to defeat Nefisa Berberovic and Daria Lodikova from Bosnia and Russia respectively. The won 6-4, 7-6(4).
With this win, the Nigerian youngster is now in the quarterfinal stage of the doubles event, and will fancy her chances to land in the semis when she returns to the court with Saigo on Thursday evening.
The pair will take on the number two seed pairing of Magali Kempen and Chelsea Vanhoutte both from Belgium.
Nigeria Tennis Live can report that Quadre, ranked 1012 in the recently released WTA ratings, has been impressive all week, after her unprecedented comeback victory over Spain’s AlmudenaSanz-Llaneza in her first round match.
The Nigerian was 2-5 down in the second set, having won the first set 6-2, but she saved 4 match points to advance to the second round of her second leg stay in Monastir, Tunisia.
