The Nigerian pair of Blessing Samuel and Christie Agugbom have defeated Cape Verde in their second game at the ongoing Africa Beach Games.
This win comes after a disappointing 0-2 loss in the first game against Morocco, as the Coach Abdulmumin Babalola-tutored side battled to a final set victory.
In the first set, the hosts took the game 6-4, but the experienced Nigerians dug deep to take a 6-4 lead in the second and finished the game in the final set with a 6-3 victory.
With this win, Nigeria has won her first ever tennis match at the inaugural Africa Beach Games holding in Cape Verde.
