Nigeria’s Joseph Imeh and Sylvester Emmanuel are presently in the eye of the storm as they battle for a place each in the second round of the ongoing GSL Open ITF Pro Circuit in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital.

The Nigerian top stars who are the the only ones in the main draw of the ITF Pro Circuit, will be up against Swedish and French players respectively, and determine their fates for the next phase of the tournament.

Nigeria Tennis Live reports that while Sylvester, Nigeria’s number one player, has Jaimee Floyd Angele from France to deal with, Imeh, the number two ranked Nigerian star, is presently tackling Simon Yitbarek from Sweden, for a place in the second round.

No Nigerian player has gone beyond the second round of the ongoing Pro-Circuit which is already in its third and final week, as the local stars look to get one past their more experienced and widely traveled opponents.

While the locals will be drumming support for their two top stars and Davis Cup representatives for the country, they will also need to be on top of their games to defeat the foreign players.
