Nigeria’s most in-form player of the moment, Sylvester Emmanuel, is just a match away from landing in the Main Draw of the Tunisia F32 Futures after defeating Marco Corino from Italy in his first qualifying match. He won 6-4, 6-4.

Nigerian Tennis Live had reported that the winner of the inaugural edition of the Vemp Open Tennis Championship had flown to the North African country to play two weeks of ITF Futures in preparation for the fast approaching Lagos Open International Tennis Championship.

Sylvester Emmanuel is looking forward to another exciting ITF Futures competition.

The bulky player ensured that his time in Tunisia does not start in a disastrous manner as he quickly won his first qualifying match in two quick sets, setting up a meeting with France’s Simon Musset in the final qualifying match.

If he pulls through, the Nigerian number two player will be among the players in the Main Draw of the $15,000 ITF Futures which is holding in Monastir, one of Tunisia’s more prominent cities.

Nigerian Tennis Live will keep monitoring the player’s progress in Tunisia and report his performance as the tournament progresses.
