    Vemp Open: Stiffer Competition Awaits Top Stars As Tournament Hots Up In Abuja

    After seeing off their opponents in the first phase of the ongoing Vemp Open Tennis Championship, the next set of matches will not be easy for the big boys in Nigerian tennis.

    Nigerian Tennis Live can report that top players like Joseph Imeh, Abdulmumin Babalola, Sylvester Emmanuel, Clifford Enosoregbe, Thomas Otu, Henry Atseye, among others, are still in contention for a place in the finals of the championship.

    Nigeria’s number one male tennis player, Joseph Imeh, is still in contention for the coveted title.

    All these players have won a top tournament at one point or the other and will be hoping to add the inaugural edition of the Vemp Open to their already buzzing cabinet of trophies.

    In today’s Matches, Imeh, the number one male player, will square up against Michael Chima in what will be seen as an easy match; Babalola will tackle Albert Bikom while Sylvester will lay siege on compatriot, Michael Michael.

    Other fixtures will see Atseye, winner of the 2017 Rainoil Clay Court championship, take on another top player in Nomso Madueke; Enosoregbe will have a date with Michael Amose just as Otu will have to be at his best against giant killer Sunday Emmanuel.

    All matches are expected to be concluded today as the fixtures obtained by Nigerian Tennis Live revealed.
