The organisers of the ongoing ITF Futures in Uganda have been forced to change their schedule for Monday, 21 May, 2018, following the unprecedented rainfall in the East African country, leaving only the pair of Joseph Imeh and Christian Paul as the only Nigerians in action today.
Nigerian Tennis Live checks on Sunday night, showed that the three Nigerian players were supposed to play their doubles matches today, but Sylvester Emmanuel will now have to wait until a later date to play in the team event while his compatriots will slug it out this afternoon.
Imeh and Paul’s are guaranteed a passage to the quarterfinals of the doubles if only they can break the resistance of their opponents, Jordan Parker and Emmett Ward, both of whom are Americans.

Sylvester on the other hand, will have to be patient for his match to be called on Tuesday at the earliest, unless something unprecedented happens at the Lugogo Tennis Club in Kampala, Uganda.
The three Nigerian players also successfully made it to the main draws of the event after Christian pulled an unbelievable comeback during his match against Rishi Reddy from India, to whom he had lost the first set 1-6.
The Abuja-based Nigerian star defeated the unyielding Indian star 7-6 (1) in the second set before wrapping up the game with a 6-3 finisher in the final set to grow the number of Nigerians in the main draws to three.
The Nigerian players will now have to wait for the announcement of their matches to take to the court and give their best against their more experienced and more traveled counterparts from other parts of the world.
