Two of Nigeria’s youngest tennis talents, MaryLove Edwards and Gabriel Inyang, will battle each other in an exhibition match to send the female star forth to the United States of America where she will be training at the Nick Bolleteri Academy.

Naija Tennis Special gathered that MaryLove, the national U-14 girls’ champion is expected to leave the country in the coming days, but will use this match against Gabriel, the national boys’ U-12 champion, to warm up ahead of her leave for the United States.

MaryLove and Inyang’s match should be one to watch out for in the next 24 hours.

Reports have it that the grudge match will take place at the VGC Tennis Club in Lekki area of Lagos State on Tuesday, August 29 by 10 in the morning.

Richard Inyang, who doubles as Gabriel’s coach and dad, told our correspondent that it would be another McGregor versus Mayweather clash even though it just an exhibition match.

“It will be a delightful match to watch, especially for tennis lovers who are within Lagos. The match will be best of three sets.

“It would be nice to watch these two very talented youngsters spar against each other. Nigerian tennis has a great future with these great players and we are proud of them,” he told our correspondent.

Our correspondent will be on ground to bring you updates from the match in Lagos as MaryLove gets a befitting send forth on her way to the United States.
