Sylvester Is A Possible Top 100 Player – Godwin Kienka

After making it to the semi-final and final of the doubles event at the Tombim Abuja Open and Datak Tennis Championship respectively, Nigeria’s Sylvester Emmanuel has been dubbed a potential top 100 player.

This tag is coming from none other than Godwin Kienka, the director of the International Tennis Academy (ITA), during an exclusive chat with Nigeria’s number one tennis blog, Naija Tennis Special.

Sylvester almost single-handedly let his Team Offikwu to glory at last year’s NCC Tennis League.

According to the former ITF umpire, the Barcelona-based star has proven to Nigerians and the world that he has what it takes to be among the top 100 players in the world, especially if he is monitored and given all the support he can get.

“He’s our leading potential right now. Everybody should put hands on deck and make sure we get the best out of him.

“He’s a possible top 100 player. He has played really well and we are all proud of him and his achievements so far,” Kienka told our correspondent.

Sylvester will return to action when the GSL Tennis Open takes centre stage at the Package B of the National Stadium, Abuja on Monday, 15 May, and will seek to go one better than his second round placing at the just concluded Dayak Tennis Championship.
