Nigeria’s teenage tennis sensation, Sylvester Emmanuel, has lauded the sponsors of the NCC Tennis Cup, stating that his Kalotari team will win the competition.
The 2014 Ikoyi Masters winner, told Naija Tennis Special from his United States base, where he is presently training and playing local tournaments, that he has great confidence in his teammates and can assure Nigerians that they will not disappoint.

Sylvester Emmanuel, presently training in the US, wants to win the inaugural NCC Tennis League

“Firstly, let me say a big thank you to the NCC for coming up with this tournament. It is a very good innovation which will keep the players in a competitive mood almost throughout the year.
“This is how players stay fit in several other countries of the world where I have been to. This is what we have always clamoured for; competitions that will keep us busy.
“We have the Abuja Futures in April, the Tennis League will start immediately after that, other competitions will also come in-between. That is really massive for our tennis.
“All I want Nigerians to know is that my team, Kalotari will carry the day and we shall dominate Nigerian tennis in the next few years and the nearest future,” he stated.
