Mabubat Rasaki will be seeking to win her first Girls’ U-16 title at the Rock Tennis Foundation Championship when she takes on Adesewa Olaniyan in the Girls U-16 final.
The Oyo State youngster is unarguably Nigeria’s strongest U-12 player, having represented the Nigeria in different competitions outside the country, and she has now stepped up to compete in the U-16 category against tougher opponents.

The youngster won both matches in the round-robin stage and also won her semifinal match to reach the final where she will meet Olaniyan, whom she defeated in the group stage.
All eyes will be on the match as Lagos-based Olaniyan will be seeking to get her pound of flesh against the youngster in what promises to be an epic finale.

In the Boys’ U-16 event, home boys, Sunkanmi Oduwaye and Hamzat Waliu will face-off in another top-of-the-table clash.
Testimony Friday and Garuba Taiwo will slug it out for the Boys’ U-14 title in the third finale scheduled for Saturday, 10 January, 2026, inside the tennis section of the MKO International Sports Stadium – venue of the competition.
The Rock Tennis Foundation Junior Tennis Clinic/Tournament is an annual event held by the Rock Tennis Foundation, a not-for-profit tennis oriented organization championing the development of tennis in Ogun State.

The competition which is in its seventh year, has produced champions who have gone ahead to dominate, not only Nigerian tennis, but tennis globally.
The likes of top 80 junior tennis sensation, Seun Ogunsakin, Usman Kushimo, Ayomide Oduwaye – featured by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) are past winners of the competition which holds in January of every year in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
