No fewer than 24 coaches have reportedly touched down in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital for the 2025 edition of the PTR Certification Course.

Nigeria Tennis Live gathered that the participants came from different parts of the country and beyond for the four-day event holding from 4-7 March, 2025 inside the Abeokuta Sports Club, Ogun State.

Coach Abel Ubiebi, the PTR Clinician who came into Nigeria for the program from the United States, informed that he was impressed with the turnout and was surprised by the new people who joined on getting to the venue.

“Our hosts had about five-six extra coaches who joined us before we started bringing the total number of coaches for the programme to 24.

“And in a bid to encourage them and appr3eciate them for hosting us, we decided to give as much as 50% discount to them because this was not pre-planned,” the man credited with discovering and coaching super star Oyinlomo Quadre told our correspondent.

The Coaches Certification Course which will be featuring, among other things, a Cardio Tennis Workshop, is one of the most recognized worldwide and will be ending on Friday, 7 March, 2025.

Some current national players were sighted at the Certification event which also had new and established coaches in attendance as well.
