Khadijat Mohammed and Bright Emmanuel will go neck-to-neck in the final of the Women’s Singles at the ongoing Rainoil National Tennis Open in Lagos.
Both players have a rivalry which dates back to their competition in national junior tennis events and are always wary of each other’s abilities.
They will now be meeting on the biggest stage for the first time ever, as Mohammed seeks to make it a second consecutive national tournament win after taking the Dala Hard Court title in November, 2024.
She won 6-3, 6-4 against Etoro Bassey, the GEUF Tennis Academy player who has been impressive all week just as Emmanuel defeated top player, Blessing Omotayo 6-2, 6-3.
