Nigeria’s Seun Ogunsakin has won the Boys U-16 ITF West & Central African Junior Championship title by defeating his Nigerian compatriot, Ikenna Okonkwo.

The talented former number one African U-14 player did not drop a set all week, as he clinched the U-16 title in grand style while competing against his opponents from other parts of West & Central Africa.

In the final match to claim the U-16 title for the West & Central African region, Ogunsakin defeated Nigerian compatriot, Okonkwo, 6-1, 6-1.

With this result, the super talented Nigerian teenager has now won the U-14 and U-16 titles before reaching the age of 16.

The team event serves off today, Wednesday, 10 January, 2024, with the Girls U-16 playing against Togo while the Boys and Girls U-14 will play against Mali and Benin Republic respectively.
